CONTACT US

Every child develops differently, so if you’re unsure whether your child is ready, we’re happy to discuss their individual needs and recommend the most suitable starting point.

Unlike group lessons, every session is tailored entirely to the swimmer.

This means more individual attention, personalised feedback and lessons that progress at your child’s pace.

Many families choose private lessons because they often lead to faster progress, increased confidence and a calmer learning environment without the distractions of larger groups.

Every child learns differently, but parents often notice improvements in confidence, water safety and technique within the first few lessons.

Because lessons are tailored specifically to your child, we can focus on their individual goals and adapt teaching methods to suit their learning style.

Absolutely.

Many children begin lessons feeling nervous or uncertain in the water. We create a calm, supportive and pressure-free environment where trust and confidence are built gradually.

Lessons are always adapted to your child’s comfort level, helping them feel safe while developing confidence at their own pace.

Each lesson is personalised to the swimmer’s ability, confidence and goals.

Sessions may include water confidence activities, stroke development, breathing techniques, floating, water safety skills and progression towards individual swimming objectives.

Every lesson is structured yet flexible to ensure learning remains enjoyable and effective.

Lessons are held at the Voco Hotel in Reading (RG2 0FL), providing a clean, professional and comfortable swimming environment.

Full location details and directions will be provided when booking your lesson.

Children should bring suitable swimwear, a towel and goggles if they are comfortable wearing them. Any additional equipment required during the lesson will be provided.

We recommend arriving a few minutes early to allow time for changing and settling in before the session begins.

We understand that family schedules can change.

Wherever possible, we will do our best to accommodate requests to rearrange lessons with sufficient notice.

Please contact us as early as possible if you need to make changes to an existing booking.

1:1 lessons provide completely individual instruction and are ideal for swimmers who would benefit from focused attention or have specific goals.

2:1 lessons allow two swimmers of a similar ability to learn together while still receiving highly personalised coaching.

If you’re unsure which option is best, we’re happy to discuss your child’s needs and recommend the most suitable format.

Absolutely not. It’s never too late to learn.

We work with adults of all ages and abilities, from complete beginners taking their first steps into the water to swimmers looking to improve their confidence or technique. Lessons are tailored to your starting point, ensuring you feel comfortable and supported throughout your journey.

Yes.

Many of our adult swimmers begin with little or no swimming experience. Lessons are designed around your current ability and comfort level, allowing you to progress gradually without feeling overwhelmed.

There is no expectation to have prior knowledge or experience before starting.

Of course.

Feeling nervous is far more common than many people realise. Our lessons provide a calm, private and judgement-free environment where you can learn at your own pace.

We focus on building confidence first, helping you feel safe and comfortable before progressing to new skills.

Every lesson is tailored to your individual goals and ability level.

Depending on your needs, sessions may focus on water confidence, floating, breathing techniques, stroke development, swimming fitness, or refining existing skills.

Lessons are structured to help you make steady progress while enjoying the process.

Not at all.

Swimming lessons are adapted to suit your current fitness level and ability.

Whether you’re returning to exercise after a break or stepping into a pool for the first time, lessons are designed to support your progress comfortably and safely.

Yes.

Many adults come to us not because they can’t swim, but because they want to improve efficiency, confidence and technique.

We can help refine stroke mechanics, breathing, body position and overall swimming performance, whether your goal is fitness, leisure or personal development.

Every swimmer progresses differently, but many adults notice increased confidence within the first few lessons.

By focusing on achievable goals and celebrating small successes, confidence often grows naturally alongside your swimming ability.

Yes.

Our private and semi-private lesson formats create a supportive environment where you can focus entirely on your own progress.

We understand that learning to swim as an adult can feel daunting, which is why lessons are always delivered with patience, encouragement and respect.

Please bring suitable swimwear, a towel and goggles if you prefer to wear them. Any additional equipment required during the lesson will be provided.

We recommend arriving a few minutes early so you can change comfortably and start your session feeling relaxed.

1:1 lessons provide completely personalised coaching and are ideal if you’d like focused attention or have specific goals.

2:1 lessons allow you to learn alongside a friend, partner or family member while still receiving tailored instruction. If you’re unsure which option would suit you best, we’re happy to discuss your goals and recommend the most appropriate lesson format.
